The Extra Tall Walk-Thru Pet Gate by Carlson Pet Products was designed with the multi-pet home in mind. This sturdy steel gate is an impressive 41 inches tall to keep large pets, and those who like to jump, securely behind the gate. While your larger dog is kept in the appropriate areas of the house, smaller pets such as your cat can comfortably pass through the pet door at the bottom of the gate. This is especially useful when you have a puppy in training, or a dog who's just too big and excitable for certain areas of the house, and a cat or other small animal that is welcome to come and go. This pet gate also makes it easy for you to walk past by providing a walk-thru door in the gate with a one-touch latch that lets you easily open the gate door with only one hand. The pressure based mounting system makes it quick and easy to set this gate up. This gate is an excellent size for doorways and stairways. This gate is lead-free, non-toxic, and chew-proof. The patented pet door is 10" x 7". This pet gate is 41" tall and has a width that expands from 29" to 34". Bar Spacing: 2.5" This gate comes with a 6 inch extension piece to expand your gate to 40 inches wide. Other extension pieces are available, sold separately. For use with upto three extensions. Available in white.

Before Installation:
When you go to set up your new gate you will discover a V-shaped gap between the door and the frame. This is not a defect. This design creates the tension your gate needs in order to stay properly pressure mounted to your wall. Simply compress your gate to fit into the space you are using it in, and then use the adjuster knobs to finish closing the V-shaped gap until the door aligns properly with the frame. Once this is done your gate will be securely pressure mounted.
